The applicant will be expected to work in a team oriented environment tackling tasks at various stages in the development process ranging from requirements gathering to implementation and testing. Emphasis is placed on the candidate’s contribution to the group and their advancement in understanding and helping extend and maintain Affinity’s technical infrastructure.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years web application programming experience using PHP/Perl (professional or academic)
• Knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP)
• Strong programming, analysis and design skills
• Expertise in multiple programming languages preferred
• Working knowledge of Sessions, Cookies, XML Structures, etc
• Preferred knowledge of Javascript, AJAX, DHTML, DOM Scripting, CSS
• Working knowledge of both Unix and Windows in a software development setting Prefer strength in Unix (all flavors) environment
• Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems
• Experience in MySQL is definitely an advantage
• Strong HTTP Fundamentals
• Familiarity with relational database concepts and RDBMS systems such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL Server
• Must be a good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
